Valentine’s Day Feather Heart

Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. Let’s roll up our sleeves, get to work and get creative!

This Valentine’s Day feather heart craft project is easy and fun to make. Kids and seniors both enjoy this activity and often talk about it long after the project is completed. Let’s not keep them waiting any longer. Let’s get started!

Materials you’ll need:

  • Cardstock paper (red colour)
  • Cardstock paper or cardboard for the base for your project
  • Feathers
  • Foam hearts (you may use stickers or heart puncher instead)
  • Craft glue

Directions:

  • Start by sketching a heart shape on a piece of paper and cutting it out to create a template.
  • Use the template to cut out a heart shape from red cardstock paper.
  • In the middle of your base, sketch a heart and apply glue directly along the lines.
  • Place the feathers on the glue, leaving 2/3 of their length sticking out beyond the outside lines, and lightly press.
  • Apply craft glue to the back of the red heart and place it on top of the feathers, pressing lightly.
  • Apply craft glue to the foam hearts and place one on each feather tip.
