Colouring is not just for kids, it is also enjoyable for many adults. It is an easy, relaxing, and engaging activity. Some adults may need initial motivation due to fear of not performing well, but in reality, they often do very well and enjoy socializing while colouring.
During colouring sessions in my classroom, there are always lots of laughs and even some singing. That’s why I love this simple activity; it allows me to spend quality time with my elderly students and learn new things about them.
Materials needed for this activity:
- Giant colouring page
- Markers or coloured pencils
- Snacks to motivate students
For this colouring activity, I found a giant colouring page at Dollarama. You can also find similar options on Amazon.
This activity will take a few days to complete due to the size of the sheet and the number of students participating. The finished poster is vibrant and beautiful, and we displayed it in the activity room for everyone to see.
