With Mother’s Day approaching, now is the perfect time to get creative and make beautiful cards for all the moms out there. Here’s a great project idea to inspire you.

How to make a Mother’s Day Flower Card

Materials you’ll need to make this craft:

  • Thick coloured paper or cardstock
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Markers or coloured pencils
  • Flower template (you can find the template here)

Instructions:

  1. Cut out flower parts (large circle, eight small circles, stem, and two leaves) using the provided template (or your own) and coloured paper.
  2. Place the large circle face down and glue the small eight circles on top of it as shown below, leaving small gaps between the small circles.
  3. Flip the flower over and set it aside.
  4. Fold the cardstock paper in half to create the card base, then glue the flower’s stem in the middle as shown below.
  5. Glue the flower head and the two leaves onto the card.
  6. Gently bend the small eight circles (flower petals) towards the centre of the flower.
  7. Optionally, outline the leaves with a fine black marker.
  8. Write a heartfelt message inside the card for the mom.
